So I’m sure you’ve heard about the Wealthy Affiliate University scam. If not, you’re probably wondering what it is now that you’ve read the first sentence of this article. So I’ll explain more in detail.
Wealthy Affiliate University is an online training program that teaches people how to make money through affiliate marketing. From here on, I’ll call it WA, for short. Basically, it teaches a lot of different methods, like PPC, article marketing, and SEO, of how to make money by promoting affiliate products.
Now if you go online and do some research, you’ll find dozens if not hundreds of reviews that simply rave about the program and how unbelievably wonderful it is. And if you have a healthy dose of skepticism, that probably will ring some alarm bells, since when does everyone ever feel that one thing is the absolute greatest in the world?
When they’re an affiliate, that is! And that leads to my unconventional take on the program. I’m an affiliate marketer, but I don’t ever promote something by singing it’s praises to high heaven. First of all, it’s dishonest. I always give both the pros and the cons so that the consumer can make an educated decision about whether the program or product is right for them.
Besides for being honest, it’s more effective. Who’s going to believe you if you say that something is perfect? Everything has flaws, and if you know what the flaws are ahead of time and you think you can handle them, you’re more willing to give the product a try since you know what to expect.
So if you want to know about WA, I’ll tell you that it’s a great program. There is tons of information, which is a bit of a flaw because it’s easy to get overwhelmed and run from one method to another, which is where lots of people get stuck. So if you’re going to give it a shot, make sure you know this in advance. Take a day and read over the basic options. Then pick one method and stick with it– even if it gets tough or boring or whatever– until you’re making money. And then you won’t be wondering about any scams.
