Saving Time with Treadmills

The health industry has grown tremendously within the past few years mainly because people are more concern for their health. This means more people are going to the gym and making it hard for many people to get a good workout when it’s crowded. Everyone is on a time schedule, so the last thing you want to do is waste time at the gym mainly waiting on someone. If running is something you focus on most and running on a treadmill is necessary for you to keep track, than getting your own electric treadmill is not a bad idea. Being able to monitor your run time and calorie burn is important. Motivation normally increases when you see improvement on your hard work. Even when running outdoors, people will bring a stop watch to see how they are progressing. There are many types of treadmills to choose from, so be sure to pick that one that is most convenient.

Portable treadmills are great when you want to save money and time. Although you may find a lot of treadmills over $200, remember that gym membership price will add up beyond that amount through time. You might be paying a large amount up front, but long term use will definitely pay off. You can maintain your routine at home without having to wait on anyone. During the mornings or noon, the treadmills are generally packed at the gym. A lot of people will be standing around waiting for the treadmills to be free. You can save all that time and hassle by having your own portable treadmill at home. What makes these treadmills so great is that you can use them and store them away when not being used. People are afraid that treadmills take up too much space. Depending on the treadmill you plan on getting, there are many that can be folded and place in the closet or under your bed.

Having your own treadmill can only be a good thing. Save all that time and gas money and stay at home to do your exercise. Of course you can save money by just running outdoors, but what if you’re hit with raining days? You won’t have to stop your exercising by having your own treadmill ready to be used at home. Since exercising is important part of many people’s lives, investing on a treadmill will only make you want to use it more because of the money that was spent.

Buy some electric treadmills

Need to keep fit and healthy? What I would suggest is that you look at some electric treadmills and buy one for your own home! I think it is a good investment for your health. Many people come up with all sorts of excuses not to get out and exercise. I feel that having an electric treadmill at home would change the situation significantly because having some exercise equipment at home would be very convenient who those who wish to exercise. Now you do not need to step out of the house to go for a run. Hence there is no excuse for people with treadmills at home to not exercise. Even couch potatoes can run on the treadmills while watching the television. Best of all it is also not all that expensive to get some exercise equipment. If you need a cheaper exercise equipment, you need not get an electric treadmill and you can get a non electric treadmill instead. A non electric treadmill does not use electricity and just uses simple human running power to power the treadmill. Basically it is just a running track treadmill allowing people to run on the spot. It will not have any training programs or be able to take your heart rate or calculate the amount of calories you have burnt or the distance you have ran. Such features would only be available on electric treadmills. Nevertheless if you are going for a low budget exercise equipment, the non electric treadmill makes a good buy. If you have more budget, you can get an electric treadmill and a good model which you can get is the merit fitness electric treadmill. A good thing about this treadmill is that it contains most of the features which most runners would need and hence would make a good treadmill to get for a start.

Extreme Bicep Burnout Challenge

Every guy wants to have big strong arms. A large arm is a sign of power and strength that is respected by guys and loved by the girls. Another great benefit of working your arms out hard is that it will help improve all the lifts you do improving your overall power and strength. Here is a great bicep burnout workout for maximum muscle pump that I do at the end of my workouts. It is best to do this at the end because it is going to push you to your breaking point.  A workout partner is helpful, but you could just as easily do it by yourself. First grab a barbell (an EZ curl bar is best), but  if that is not available just grab the bar off of a flat weight bench. Before we start the burnout we need to get things set up right. Add as much weight as you can rep with good form eight times. One thing that is unique about burn outs is that you are going to change the way you stack on the weight. Instead of putting the heaviest weight on first they will be put on last. Following each set you will remove a weight and do another set immediately. Since this is different from normal lifting lets use a real example to make sure we have things set up properly. Start with a two 2 lb plate one each side. Now you will add 2 lb, 5 lb, 5 lb, and 10 lb plate to each side. Bring us to a total of 48 plus whatever the weight of the bar may be. Form is crucial here. You do not want to cheat and start swing your arms. Bend your knees slightly and use controlled movements keeping your elbows tucked into your sides.  There should be a total of 5 plates on each side of the barbel. If you don’t have a barbell and individual weights consider using a set of dumbells that drop in weight following the above guidelines. Now that we are ready we can start the burnout. It is actually pretty simple but it is also very intense. To start things off curl the bar for eight reps. Now remove one plate from each end. Without stopping to rest curl the new lower weight another eight reps. Again remove one plate from both ends. Complete another eight reps with three plates per side. You will be feeling a good burn at this point but maintain form on each rep. Remove another weight from each side. Now you will only have two plates per side, instead of doing a full curl only do half curls for eight reps. From a hanging position you raise the bar only half way. Remove another plate leaving only one single plate on each side and perform another eight half curls but this time start at the top and go only half way down. Focus on concentrated movements, really squeeze your bicep at the top of each movement. Lastly, curl the bar with no weight for another painful full eight reps. At this point even without weight the bar will feel like a million pounds. This is the best way to workout your biceps to the breaking point. Your veins will be pushing out and it will feel like your biceps are going to pop out of your skin. Make sure you stretch a little and get some quality protein to maximize muscle growth. Take your workouts to newer heights with your own weight benches and get a better body.

Proper Warmup and Cool Down Tips

One of the biggest mistakes most people make is skipping a warm up and cool down when training. If your are serious about losing fat or building muscle you need to focus on proper warm ups and cool downs. These simple things can help you get better and faster results from your training.  Warming up and cooling down can reduce the chances of injury, increase the flexibility, and support muscle recovery time which builds muscles faster. So before you start pumping iron on your weight bench or hit the post workout shower you need to proper warm up and cool down. Let’s examine the benefits of a proper pre-workout warm up.

Benefits of Pre-Workout Warmup:

  • Increased muscle contractile speed
  • Energy efficient muscle contractions
  • Reduced stiffness
  • Increased flexibility
  • Enhanced oxygen uptake

A proper warm up includes a cardio vascular exercise as a total body stretching routine. Many people that are training to improve their bodies are foolishly ignoring the importance of warming up. People tend to view warming up as silly and optional. This is completely wrong and is stunting their results. With a complete warm up followed by intense training and a proper cool down you will see faster and better results from your workout.

Give yourself at least ten minutes for a proper workout. The extra time required will be worth it. Start off with a simple aerobic exercise to heat up your body’s core temperature which loosens muscles. The most popular warm up aerobic exercises are jogging, walking, jump roping, and biking. Increased body temperature stimulates muscle growth. After a 5-10 minute intense aerobic warm up follow it with various stretches. Stretching your muscles will reduce injury and prime the muscles for growth. Choose stretches that will work the entire body.

Probably even more commonly skipped than just warming up is completing a proper cool down. If you skip the cool down you will experience what is called delayed muscle soreness. During you workouts intracellular pressure builds up and if you do not stretch and release the pressure you will experience significant muscle stiffness and soreness the following day. Not only does this disrupt your daily routine it makes it difficult to consistently train.

A proper cool down is very similar to your warm up. You are going to perform 5 minute jog followed by full body stretching. A good cool down reduces soreness and improves your muscle growth. Improving your warm ups and cool downs will help you train harder and more intense as well as give you better results. Exercising At Home With A Home Chin Up Bar

Not everyone has the time — or the money — for regular trips to the gym, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get an effective workout at home. By using a home chin up bar, you can get many of the same benefits that gym equipment offers, but from the convenience and privacy of your own house. A variety of home chin up bars are available to suit your needs. If you want a permanent chin up bar with superior sturdiness, a wall-mounted chin up bar — which fastens directly to a wall — may be a good option.

If you prefer something portable and easy to store, consider a doorway chin up bar, which simply installs inside a door frame and can be removed or reinstalled as needed. And if you have a home gym, a freestanding chin up bar can be an excellent addition to your collection of equipment. Depending on your particular desires, you can find a home chin up bar to help you develop strength and muscle — without even leaving your house.

When exercising on a chin up bar, changing your hand positioning and body movements are not the only ways to boost the intensity: you can also integrate free weights into your workout. When doing a regular chin up or pull up, you can wear a free weight belt so that your arms are forced to raise and lower more than just your body weight — which increases the difficulty of the chin ups and ultimately leads to greater strength gains.

If you’re using a chin up bar for abdominal work, such as by performing hanging leg raises, you can clutch a weight between your knees or ankles. This adds resistance to the abdominal movements and helps you build a stronger torso. Because the amount of weight you add is at your own discretion, chin up bar exercises have unlimited potential to stay challenging; just increase the weight to amp up the difficulty level and continue building strength.

The treadmill is your basic piece of cardio equipment. An exercise routine that consists mostly of running is going to drastically improve your mental and physical health and since there isn’t any technique involved it is really easy to start a routine of your own. If you’re wondering how to get started towards a healthier way of life go out and buy yourself one of the many cheap treadmills you can find.

Set up your cheap treadmill in your basement or in your living room. You probably will find some top of the line equipment for bargain prices because no one seems to be able to work out for very long these days. Once you’ve set up your cheap treadmill go ahead and start running on it for an hour each morning. If you can establish a routine you will soon be on your way to losing weight. No gimmicks, just work at it.

The other day I went to the fitness equipment store to buy myself a brand new treadmill. The store I went to, which I won’t name, was practically cheap treadmills central because there were so many different kinds of cheap treadmills to choose from. The nice thing about this store was that they allowed you to test out the treadmills before you bought them. It was sort of like a gym where you could buy the equipment if you liked it.

I decided that I would test out some of the cheap treadmills against some of the top of the line treadmills. We’re talking like a two thousand dollar price difference here. I went on the expensive Weslo electric treadmill first. It was great, felt comfortable, and there were a ton of options to choose from. Then I went on the cheap treadmill and found that it was almost practically the same. The cheap treadmills have fewer functions but I’m never going to use all that stuff anyway, I just want to run.
