The Key To A Faster PC

Getting a faster PC involves upgrading the hardware or reducing the strain on the system by the running software. This article highlights the main changes that can make a PC run faster.

Upgrading hardware doesn’t resolve the reasons why a slow PC is under-performing. However as web applications become more power hungry it is increasingly necessary to have a high specification machine.

  • Add more RAM: This is one of the best ways to gain faster PC speed. The RAM is ‘short term memory’ for the PC so the more you have, the easier it can process commands.
  • Upgrade the video card on desktop PCs: The better the card, the less processing that needs to be done by the CPU.
